Facebook Forcing Its Own Email ID on Everyone

June 26, 2012

If you are on Facebook, then you must have noticed that your default display email address has been changed to and the worst part is that it did this without any intimation.

So, if you have changed your vanity URL to a personalized username then your ID will be and if you are still using the random numbers assigned to your account then your email will be, which in my opinion would look rather unhelpful in terms of defining your identity.

So, if someone is sending an email to, it will be shown in your Facebook account message inbox.

But don’t worry, if you wish to display your own email address instead of this one, then you need to go to the profile page, scroll down to “contact info” and click edit. There you can hide the email address from your Timeline and replace it will your real address.

I just wonder that the more and more we are getting involved into social media, the more and more they are taking away our privacy and forcing unwanted things on us. What is your take on this?

Adidas and Their Shackle Shoes Rouses Racism

June 20, 2012

I have seen big companies come up with weird projects, but this one tops the list. Adidas has come up with a new pair of sneakers that have orange rubber band shackles fixed to the back of the sneakers. Thus, the name of the sneakers is “shackle shoes” which ended up creating a lot of fuss for its racist connotation.

adidas shackles sneakers

According to Reverend Jesse Jackson, it is like an attempt to commercial and make popular 200 years back time when the blacks were treated as slaves and thus the ad is appalling and intensive.

Initially Adidas defended the design of the shackle shoes, but later it said that it will remove those sneakers.

However, the photograph is still posted on the Facebook page of Adidas, so not sure when they are going to remove the shoes.

I personally think that what was Adidas thinking before coming up with such a disaster design, maybe they just wanted to grab headlines and do some publicity.

I don’t think Adidas intended to hit back at Slavery but it sure could use a better design and color, Orange, really!!!!

Video Search Engine by Sharethrough

June 2, 2012

Sharethrough has launched, a free public search engine for helping the creative agencies to all the branded videos. For those of you who are not aware, Sharethrough is a leading solution provider of video advertising campaigns measurement tools.

We have many search engines for videos but this I suppose is one of a kind which has a library of branded video ads which marketers can use to enhance their marketing campaigns. Moreover, it can also be used by production houses to showcase their work in front of the prospective clients.

I still need to search through it and give my own opinion, but on the looks of it, the concept looks interesting and useful. No need to search for videos on Youtube which sometimes ends up throwing random results and wastes time in digging for the right one. What is your opinion in this!
