If you are on Facebook, then you must have noticed that your default display email address has been changed to @facebook.com and the worst part is that it did this without any intimation.
So, if you have changed your vanity URL to a personalized username then your ID will be username@facebook.com and if you are still using the random numbers assigned to your account then your email will be random@facebook.com, which in my opinion would look rather unhelpful in terms of defining your identity.
So, if someone is sending an email to @facebook.com, it will be shown in your Facebook account message inbox.
But don’t worry, if you wish to display your own email address instead of this @facebook.com one, then you need to go to the profile page, scroll down to “contact info” and click edit. There you can hide the @facebook.com email address from your Timeline and replace it will your real address.
I just wonder that the more and more we are getting involved into social media, the more and more they are taking away our privacy and forcing unwanted things on us. What is your take on this?

By the end of 2012, we will be able to see marketers from 50 more countries start ad campaigns on Twitter. Twitter has announced that it will soon open its advertising products for more countries.
Among the first ones to receive the benefit would be Western European countries such as Germany and Spain, and Brazil.
For those of you who are not aware of, Twitter has three advertising products – promoted tweets, promoted trends and promoted accounts.
Twitter has a very huge user base and it is about time that they start using this base to generate more revenue.
It’s a good news for most of the marketers, let’s see how soon we can see this feature being rolled out.

Sharethrough has launched Sharethrough.tv, a free public search engine for helping the creative agencies to all the branded videos. For those of you who are not aware, Sharethrough is a leading solution provider of video advertising campaigns measurement tools. 
We have many search engines for videos but this I suppose is one of a kind which has a library of branded video ads which marketers can use to enhance their marketing campaigns. Moreover, it can also be used by production houses to showcase their work in front of the prospective clients.
I still need to search through it and give my own opinion, but on the looks of it, the concept looks interesting and useful. No need to search for videos on Youtube which sometimes ends up throwing random results and wastes time in digging for the right one. What is your opinion in this!
